It may be very helpful. I am just preparing a lecture on landscape painting in East Asia, I am trying to find the earliest paintings (before Tang Dynasty). China Radio International.CRI says it was around the 4th century AD.

We also have many replicas of famous landscape paintings, which can be useful teaching resources as well.

Thank you 🙏 so much for adding me to your list.
Background: In December, 1974, with “Change of Duty Station” orders in hand, I took off from Taipei International Airport heading home for 30 days leave. While in Tokyo, I set down a bag that contained hand painted Christmas cards, a military hat, and a scroll from the National Palace Museum in Taiepei entitled “One Hundred Horses”. When I arrived in Guam, I realized the bag was gone. Although the Christmas cards were important, losing the scroll was very hard to take. At that time, the scroll sold as a souvenir was only $10US. I am writing this to find out how a replacement. If possible, please let me know what the best approach would be. Thank you.

Thank you. I was a close friend of the late Robert H. Ellsworth, perhaps the foremost American expert on modern Chinese paintings. I had always loved Chinese art but Bob Ellsworth had the knowledge and taste to give me entrê to a keen window of perception. Your website is a marvelous window onto that world.

Thank you for allowing me to become a member on your list. I am looking forward to learning more about the pieces that I have now, Connecting with people who can give me information will be exciting, Presently I am attempting to obtain information on the “signature” “chop” of a couple pieces. Interesting to learn the Chinese language is not always as it seems, and may be a fusion of more than one area or even country,
Greetings from Canada to all.
